Beautiful handforged Whisky still modelled after the traditional Scottish Whiskey distilleries with the typical high hat. A dream has come true, because now it is finally possible to use a Whisky still in hobby size.

With this new model from 2018 handcrafted in our  "CopperGarden®" forge, we can finally offer an elegant Whisky still for hobby distillers .

The distillery itself is truly a masterpiece. We hope you can already see this from the pictures we have taken for you. All copper parts are from our premium smith and are of superb quality! 

Sure it's a real pleasure to use the still with your self-made beer or schnapps to create you favourite drinks.

Important information:

Distillation is strictly regulated or even forbidden in some countries. Please inform yourself and pay attention to the regulations in your country. We can ship worldwide, but we cannot check if you are allowed to own a still. Shipping within the EU is completely unrestricted (Germany, Austria and Switzerland excluded). For shipping to countries outside the EU we have to affix the invoice and shipping list to the outside of the package. Up to now we have never had problems with the importation of our stills into other countries.

For specialists in pot still and whiskey distilling, we offer this high-quality product at more than affordable conditions. This offer is not cheap because we do not use substandard Chinese steel. Quality has its price, and with this offer we have fallen below this price.
With a burning volume of 36 liters, this offer is the cheapest that can be offered in this quality.
A fine-mesh filter screen to prevent the burning of mashes with residual starch is already included, so as is an indispensable high-quality stainless steel thermometer.

16 l stainless steel still with counter-current high-performance cooling for the production of brandy and essential oils
High material quality:

• Solid thick-walled water / steam boiler made of 18/10 stainless steel and three-layer thermal floor,

• Lockable with tension locks.

• Hygiene thanks to stainless steel - no danger of green chips as with copper.

• Overall height: approx. 65 cm.

Powerful counterflow cooler with 1,5 m jacket length. In this cooler, a thinner tube (core) runs through a jacket tube. The distillate flows through the soul. Cooling water is passed in countercurrent between the soul and the mantle. Due to the spiral water flow, the flow between the core and the jacket is turbulent even at low flow speeds. This causes an effective heat transfer from the distillate to the cooling water. Because of this and because of the comfortable length of the cooler, only moderate cooling water is required

This system is also excellent for the distillation of hydrolates and essential oils, as well as suitable for fruit and herbal spirit production using alcohol vapor distillation.

LEONARDO 2 litres for essential oils and hydrosols

Licence manufacturing by the CopperGarden® forge by courtesy of Helge Schmickl. Ideal for the production of essential oils, hydrosols and distilled water.

Unlike the Austrian version, our Leonardo comes with aroma sieve that can be placed above approx. 1.75 litres. Maximum holding capacity: 2 litres.

The CopperGarden® LEONARDO is made of copper and one of the best choices for essential oils. The steam pathways are short and the column space extra large to fit plenty of plant material. 

Important note: Distilling is restricted and even prohibited in many countries. Please inform yourself about your local laws prior to purchasing and operating a copper still. Distilling essential oils and hydrosols is legal in most countries upon registering the still with the authorities.

Foldable mash strainer to avoid burning. In the case of mashes with residual starch, it is recommended to additionally put a boil-proof linen cloth (kitchen towel) on the mash sieve to filter out the starch. It is best to fill a layer of water under the mash strainer. To identify the risk of scorching, either do an iodine starch test or take a small amount of liquid mash and heat it in a small stainless steel pot to identify the risk of scorching. If you use a suitable pectinase in addition to whiskey malt, you also reduce the risk of scorching.
